Shillong(Meghalaya), Jan 6 : Lajong FC made a triumphant return to the Officer’s Choice Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 after a month-long break, securing a hard-fought 1-0 win against Nongrim Hills SC at the SSA Stadium. Deibormame Tongper’s late strike in the 89th minute proved to be the decisive factor, propelling Lajong to 16 points from seven games.
The match was marked by several missed opportunities for both teams, but Lajong’s persistence paid off in the end. This victory not only halted Nongrim Hills’ three-game winning streak but also boosted Lajong’s position in the league.
