Tura(Meghalaya), Aug 17: Meghalaya police this afternoon, Aug 17, arrested one Langdon M Sangma from the village of Chinabat close to the border with East Garo Hills (EGH) and recovered a pistol from his possession.
The incident took place at about 3:30 PM with the arrest being possible due to the joint efforts of both EGH and South Garo Hills (SGH) police.

As per sources, the arrested person is a resident of Mandalgre in WGH with the arrest taking place at Silchotggre, Chinabat in WGH.
A 0.32 pistol was recovered from the arrested person who was then handed over, along with the arms to the Rongram outpost in WGH for further necessary action.
