Shillong (Meghalaya), April 11: In response to concerns raised by local bodies, including the HYC-CEC and Khasi Students Union (KSU), NEIGRIHMS Director Prof. (Dr.) Nalin Mehta has clarified the institute’s position on the ongoing recruitment process.
The advertised vacancies, Mehta explained, are not for fresh recruitment but for backlog vacancies that arose from non-acceptance, non-joining, resignations, or non-availability of suitable candidates in various categories from previous recruitment cycles. NEIGRIHMS is committed to following the recruitment guidelines stipulated by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
The institute is conducting the recruitment process strictly according to the Model Roster and Regional Roster mandated by DoPT guidelines, ensuring compliance with reservation policies for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBDs. Mehta also addressed concerns about local tribal representation, reaffirming the institute’s commitment to fair and transparent recruitment practices.
By providing these clarifications, NEIGRIHMS aims to dispel any misconceptions and demonstrate its commitment to following established guidelines and ensuring a fair recruitment process.
