Shillong (Meghalaya), July 2: A formal felicitation program was held at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Health Services (MI) to honor public health facilities from the Khasi and Jaintia region that have achieved National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) and LaQshya certifications.
The event, organized by the Joint Directorate Quality Committee (JDQC), was attended by distinguished chief guests, including Dr. J.S. Momin, Dr. N.E. Kharsahnoh, and Dr. L. Mylliemumlong. Dr. P.N. Chyne, Additional Director of Health Services (DME) and Chairman of JDQC, emphasized the critical importance of quality improvement in public healthcare delivery.
A total of 43 Health & Wellness Centres (HWCs) from the Khasi-Jaintia region were celebrated for earning NQAS certification, a significant milestone in the state’s healthcare journey. The chief guests presented awards to the successful facilities, acknowledging their commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.
This achievement highlights Meghalaya’s efforts to elevate healthcare quality and accessibility, aligning with global standards. The felicitation program served as a platform to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of healthcare professionals in the state.
