Shillong, Sep 11: Meghalaya Football Association today named its 20-member squad for the Dr Talimeren Ao Junior Girls National Football Championship (Tier 2) 2026-27.
The team was flagged off at MFA Ground in the presence of Vice-President Cliff Nongrum.
Led by head coach Haphi Kharkongor, Meghalaya will play in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh. Placed in Group C with Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Nagaland, they open against J&K on September 18.
Eighteen teams are in Tier 2. Group winners make the semis, with the two finalists promoted to Tier 1 next season.
