Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 9 : 34 new Covid cases were detected in the state today taking the state tally to 13,592 .
Among the new cases 19 were from East Khasi Hills , 14 from West Khasi Hills and 1 from North Garo Hills .
A total of 24 patients were declared recovered today .

The active cases in the state stand at 163 after a total of 13,286 patients recovered . The death toll so far in the state stands at 143 .
