Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 12 : 23 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Monday morning .
Out of the 23 new cases 11 were from East Khasi Hills which includes 1 from Armed Forces , 8 from BSF and 2 General .

South Garo Hills and North Garo Hills reported 1 case each while West Garo Hills reported 10 positive cases all belonging to BSF .
On Wednesday a total of 7 patients were discharged after recovery .
