Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 5 : 2 more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in Shillong taking the death toll to 141 .
According to official sources , Komal Das aged 59 years hailing from Rilbong area was admitted to Civil Hospital, on Jan 2 and tested positive . He died on Jan 3 due to Covid-19 pneumonia with hypertension and nephropathy (a disease of the kidneys).
The other patient was identified as Pandav Kuri aged 49 years from Mawbah area here and , was admitted to Civil Hospital on Dec 23 after being referred from Nazareth Hospital. He passed away on Jan 3. He was died due to Type 2 diabetes with pulmonary tuberculosis, post-Covid pneumonia and sepsis.
Meanwhile , 25 new cases were detected in the state today out which 24 were from East Khasi Hills and 1 from South Garo Hills .
12 patients were declared recovered today .
