Meghalaya : 18 new Covid cases including a doctor from NEIGRIHMS reported on Sunday

Shillong (Meghalaya) , Aug 2 : 18 new Covid cases have been reported on Sunday , taking the total number of active cases in the state to to 605.

Among the the 18 new Covid positive cases detected on Sunday , 1 is a doctor from NEIGRIHMS ,Shillong .

So far 7 doctors have tested positive in the state including the first Covid patient in the state , Dr. John Sailo .
Till yesterday , 24 frontline workers of the NEIGRIHMS have been infected by the deadly virus .

Out of the total 18 caes today , East Khasi Hills recorded 13 cases , Ri Bhoi recorded 4 and East Jaintia Hills recorded 1 . There were 12 recoveries today including 10 from BSF and 2 general .
