Tura(Meghalaya), Aug 31: In a tragic case, one Kileng Marak, a resident of Araimile in Tura lost his life after he accidentally fell into a well in the Chasingre locality, a few kms from the town of Tura in West Garo Hills.
As per reports, the body of Kileng was found by local villagers when they went to draw water from the well after which the police were informed of the tragedy. While details of how he fell are still unclear, the body was later recovered by policemen who reached the spot.
The incident apparently took place during the afternoon yesterday, Aug 30 though the exact details will only be ascertained after the post mortem is made available.
“We have recovered the body after which it was identified and a post mortem examination has been done. The body has been handed over to the family after formalities. We will know the cause of death after the postmortem ,” said superintendent of police, WGH, Vivekananda Singh.
