Shillong ( Meghalaya), Feb 20 : The BJP denounced the decision to not permit PM Modi’s rally to be held at the recently inaugurated P. A. Stadium at Tura.
Party spokesperson, Bernard N Marak said that Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, under direct instructions from a very scared and insecure Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma has denied the use of the P. A. Sangma stadium. He said that this is very sad that a Prime Minister is being prevented from meeting his own people. This acute fear of losing the elections that is haunting Conrad Sangma and has driven him crazy. Marak said, the people of Garo Hills will forever loathe the CM for this decision of his.
Bernard added that the people of Garo Hills were eager and excited to meet PM Modi and hear about the development opportunities that he wanted to create for Meghalaya. The people look up to PM Modi to resolve their issues and bring change in the condition of their beloved state. Despite all the scheming that Conrad may resort to, the BJP will do everything possible to ensure that this meeting between the people and the PM happens.
