Shillong(Meghalaya) , Mar 3: In a stunning display of dominance, Nangkiew Irat SC annihilated Ryntih FC 6-0 in the OC Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 at the SSA Stadium at First Ground, Polo, today. This convincing win catapulted Nangkiew Irat SC from sixth to fourth place in the standings.
The goals poured in after Damehun Syih’s 58th-minute opener, with Shaibor Nongrum scoring a brace (60′, 63′), followed by strikes from Wanpynshngain Nongsteng (66′), Khangmiki Pale (78′), and Wallamsuk Nongkhlaw (82′). Nangkiew Irat SC now boast 25 points from 17 games, with one match remaining.
This result pushed Langsning FC, with 24 points, to fifth place, while Laitkor SC, with 23 points and two matches to play, dropped to sixth. Prior to the match, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of SS Rapthap, Vice-President of the Shillong Sports Association, who passed away on Saturday evening.
