Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 1: The Governor of Meghalaya Phagu Chauhan, today flagged off the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra for Urban Areas for Meghalaya at Raj Bhavan, here.
This nationwide initiative by the Government of India launched by PM Narendra Modi on Nov 15 is dedicated to enlightening and empowering citizens about the Centre’s flagship schemes.
The yatra, with its goal to achieve 100% outreach, serves as a crucial catalyst in raising awareness about government welfare schemes, encouraging active citizen participation in the nation’s development.
The Governor commenced the Yatra by ceremoniously waving a flag, signaling the departure of an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van.
Over the coming weeks, this van will traverse all urban areas in Meghalaya, effectively disseminating information about the government’s various programs and schemes.
