Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 9: The East Zone Inter University table tennis women’s tournament 2023 hosted by Royal Global University marked its perfect end today after two days of intense competition.
Adamas University, West Bengal lifted the winning trophy while University of Calcutta was the first runner-up and LN Mithila University, Bihar, the second runner-up. Team from Jadavpur University was placed fourth. Dipanwita Basu of Adamas University was adjudged the best player of the Tournament.
The women’s tournament witnessed participation of 20 teams showcasing team spirit, excellent skills and sportsmanship.
Participants had the chance to show off their passion for the game and their respect for one another in addition to engaging in intense competition.
The competition venue recorded a good number of spectators, and the atmosphere of the final day was electrifying. The closing ceremony followed the Awards Ceremony.
