Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 31: Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong today took over as President, Meghalaya State Unit of the National People’s Party from Dr. W R Kharlukhi.
Outgoing President Dr. W R Kharlukhi had served as President of the state for 16 years.

Meanwhile, NPP national President and Chief Minister Conrad Sangma in a congratulatory message hoped that Prestone Tynsong with his years of experience in state politics will take this responsibility from Dr. Kharlukhi and further NPP’s reach and mission in Meghalaya and the Northeast.
