Shillong ( Meghalaya ) , May 28: A Covid -19 positive couple kept at two different centres in Shillong escaped to meet each other at a market place.
The couple who had tested positive for COVID-19 fled from quarantine to meet each other in a market place .
The couple hails from Laithumkhrah locality of Shillong.
According to reports, the husband was quarantined at MATI, Mawdiangdiang while his wife was admitted at Shillong Civil Hospital.
Missing each other at these tiring times , both of them planned to escape on Wednesday evening and met at a market place .
When the couple was noticed by some residents of a particular locality ,they informed the Village Council ( Dorbar Shnong ) .
Initially , the couple refused to listen to anyone and turned violent .
Finally ,with intervention local Dorbar Shnong police and the local legislator the duo were made to understand that they need to go back into quarantine and isolation.
Seeing the situation , the Durbar Shnong managed space for both of them at the MATI corona care centre and they have been housed together.
