Shillong ( Meghalaya), Jan 20 : As the National People’s Party(NPP) led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance Government is celebrating the year-long attainment of full statehood of Meghalaya in a big way from Friday , one of the prominent leaders of the Congress in Meghalaya, Ampareen Lyngdoh said the Congress was instrumental for the attainment of Meghalaya’s full statehood.
Reacting to the Government’s over projection on developmental activities in the state, Lyngdoh said the Congress has put in 38 long years of dedicated service for the progress and development of the state.
She said that it was the Congress that brought the North Eastern Hills University, North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences to mention a few.
Lyngdoh also said that the Congress has brought innumerous development activities and the present state Government is unwilling to continue them. She added that her party will soon bring out its election manifesto, a new road map for the development, progress and prosperity of the people of Meghalaya.
