Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 10: In a proactive operation, on Wednesday, Jan 10, 2024, the troops of 4 Bn BSF Meghalaya successfully intercepted a vehicle loaded with Sugar meant for smuggling into Bangladesh and also apprehended 2 Indian Nationals near Lyngkhat bordering area under East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.
Acting on specific information, BSF troops identified and intercepted a vehicle loaded with sugar, which was approaching to bordering area on Lyngkhat- Pyrdwah road.

Upon questioning, the driver and co- driver failed to produce any valid documents pertaining to the consignment of Sugar.
The seized items and apprehended persons were handed over to the concerned police station for further legal action.
