Shillong ( Meghalaya ), Oct 31 : Legislator of North Karimganj from the neighbouring state of Assam , Kamakhya Dey Purkayasta today met Meghalaya DGP, Dr. L R Bishnoi to draw attention of the various news items and social media reports regarding attack on innocent non -tribals during a FKJGP rally on Friday .

He requested the DGP to enquire in to the matter and initate necessary remedial measures so that the lives and properties of the bonafide innocent non -tribals are protected from such untoward incidents and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future .
