Shillong (Meghalaya), May 3 : 8 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Meghalaya till 4 PM on Wednesday out which four cases were reported in West Garo Hills, two in East Khasi Hills, and one each in South Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills
Official sources said that number of active cases in the state has increased to 18 including 6 in East Khasi Hills, West Garo Hills 9 and 1 each in South Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills.

So far 1 person have succumbed from COVID-19 during the fresh spell in the state.
