Guwahati (Assam), May 17 : Four more cases of Corona virus were detected in the state which includes 2 cases from the capital city here .
All the cases were detected late on Saturday night .
In view of the spike in the number of cases the state health minister has urged upon people above 65 + years and children below 10 years to strictly stay indoors.
The Health Minister tweeted this morning , “On May 16 NIGHT, 4 more #COVID19 + cases were detected – 2 from Guwahati, 1 each from Sonitpur & Sivasagar, taking total cases to 95. Active cases ar 50.🛑🛑In view of the developing situation, I urge elderly (65+) & children below 10 to strictly stay inside, unless very important.🛑🛑
Meanwhile, in Guwahati where two cases were detected, very late on Saturday (around 2 am), we went to Kalapahar Quarantine Centre to ensure smooth evacuation of a COVID positive patient. The other person was evacuated from Fatashil Ambari. Both have been admitted to MMCH.
