Kokrajhar (Assam),March 10: The dead body of school teacher who was reportedly murdered was recovered today evening inside deep jungles of Magurmari forest beat offiice in Kokrajhar district.
The dead body was recovered inside the deep jungles under Magurmari forest beat office near Sesapani rail crossing gate under Kokrajhar police station.
The body was identified as Berlao Bethao Brahma alias Bibhash Brahma(45) ,Headmaster of Kumguri (Tinkhona) LP School under Dotma education block.
The body was recovered under mysterious circumstances that created sensational situation along with citizens.
According to family members, Brahma went missing since afternoon of Wednesday and today his body was recovered from the deep forest area.
Family members claimed that the teacher was kidnapped and later murdered by miscreants as his body bore of multiple injury marks.
Notably, Brahma had withdrawn Rupees six lakhs from a bank yesterday and since then he went missing.
Senior police officers including SP Kokrajhar Prateek Thube visited the spot and took stock about the incident.
He said that police has been stepped up the security and a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits.
The SP added that the body of Brahma had multiple injuries and numerous cut marks on his private parts .
