Kokrajhar (Assam),Dec28: The newly appointed BTC chief executive member( CEM) Pramod Boro made a surprise visit to the executive engineer’s office at PWD(Roads division) in Kokrajhar today.
Boro reached the executive engineer’s office of PWD(roads) and inspected all rooms of the office and interacted with the engineers and office staff besides checking all official files in the office.
He directed the concerned departmental staffs and officials to take stern measures for good road communication before the coming monsoon season.
He said all roads and link roads should be uplifted to ensure proper road communication in all rural and urban areas.
He said that his government has been and will be taking strong initiative for uplifting the road communication for paving the way healthy living in the region.
He said that the road communications should be planned in a proper manner.
Today, Pramod Boro also attended a meeting of Panchayat and Rural Development(P & RD) secretaries, directors, project directors, BDOs and other officials of BTAD area to ensure smooth function of schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY-G and others.
The meeting was held at BTC Secretariat Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar.
Boro has emphasised to bring development and welfare for the people’s development in the days to come.
He has asked all concerned officials to render their dedication for the people’s welfare with integrity.
Meanwhile, the six government nominated members in Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly(BTCLA) will take oath as member of the BTC Legislative Assembly on Tuesday at BTCLA hall in Kokrajhar.
Necessary preparation and arrangements have been made to conduct the swearing-in-ceremony of government nominated members at BTC Legislative Assembly Hall.
Governor of Assam Prof Jagdish Mukhi has nominated members from the communities communities who all does no have representation in recently concluded BTC council elections.
The nominated members are Wilson Hasda(Santhal),Madhav Chandra Chetry(Gorkha),Sarnaprabha Deka(Sarania Kochary),Pradip Kumar Bayan(Keot),Hemanta Kumar Rabha(Rabha) and Arpana Medhi(General).
