Guwahati ( Assam) , June 8 : 43 more Covid -19 patients succumbed to their infections and 3948 fresh cases were detected in the last 24 hours .
Among the new cases , 342 were reported from Kamrup (Metro) .

The figures were arrived after conducting 1,33,212 tests .
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma while confirming the numbers said that the overall positivity percentage for the day was 2.96% and the recovery rate stood at 87.75%.
