Guwahati ( Assam) , June 11 : There has been a marked improvement in the Covid -19 situation in the state with overall positivity percentage falling to a record low of 2.16 % on Friday bringing some solace to the residents of the state .
In a tweet , Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that out of 1, 69, 528 tests conducted in the past 24 hours only 3,666 fresh cases have been detected out of which 341 new cases were detected in Kamrup Metro .
There was some improvement in the casulity figures also with 29 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours .
The recovery rate stood at 88.83 %.
