Guwahati (Assam), April 1 : The cases of coronavirus in Assam rose to 13 on Wednesday after eight more cases were reported in the Golaghat district.
State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that all the new cases are attendees of the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi’s Nizammudin.
Earlier in the day, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in press conference said that four people were tested positive for coronavirus, adding that the number may cross double digit by today evening after confirmation from Pune .
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in the evening tweeted about eight more Covid-19 positive cases in the state. “All eight new cases are people who had participated in Tablighi Jamat meet at Nizamuddin Markaz,” the minister said.
