Guwahati(Assam), Aug 19 : A total of 2116 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Wednesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 84,317 .
Among the new cases , 311 were reported from Kamrup Metro, 190 from Cachar , 174 from Diburgarh and 125 from Jorhat .
The state also recorded a total of 10 deaths due to Covid on Wednesday taking the death toll to 213 .
On a positive note a total of 2054 patients were discharged from various hospitals and Covid Centers after recovery today.
Confirming the figures The Health Minister tweeted “📌Alert ~ 2116 #COVID cases detected today out of 40389 tests done in last 24 hours.
