Kokrakjhar (Assam),Jan 29: Out of around 3000 cadres in the Saoraigwra faction of the National Democratic Front of Boroland(NDFB-S) , 150 cadres would lay down arms at a programme to be held in Guwahati on Thursday,said general secretary of NDFB (S), B R Ferenga.
Ferenga while attending a rousing welcome reception at Jharbari here on Wednesday said , that they have merged with the mainstream after signing of the Bodo Accord on January 27 which would create the Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR).He reminded that the need of the hour is for the people in the region to have peace and integrity and that is basic reason of NDFB (S) joining the mainstream .

BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary and BTC executive member Rajiv Brahma welcomed them with traditional Aronai and bunch of flowers.
”We must maintain peace and integrity in the region and that is the reason why we have resolved to sign the BTR Accord”,said B Saoraigwra president of the NDFB-S.
The armed struggle for identity of the Bodos was on for many decades and we need to be forgiven for whatever mistakes committed by us during the revolution so that we can move forward in a positive manner ,he added.
During the programme ,BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary welcomed the Bodo accord and said that the accord would bring more development and welfare to the common people in the region.
