Guwahati (Assam) , Sept 2 : A total of 3555 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Wednesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 115279.
Of the new cases 924 cases were reported from Kamrup Metro , 236 from Nagaon , 213 from Dibrugarh and 200 from Baksa .
A total of 8 Covid patients succumbed to their infections at various hospitals across the state on Wednesday .
The patients have been identified as Late Shakuntala Sen (63), Late Kajal Dutta (66), Late Wahida Rahman (60), Dibrugarh; Late Madhabi Bhattacharjee (75), Late Jamir Uddin (60), Karimganj; Late Prabhat Chandra Bora (82), Late Bulu Devi (69), Kamrup M and Late Prafulla Sagariya (72), Darrang .
1834 patients were discharged today from various hospitals and Covid Care Centres after recovery
