Guwahati(Assam), Aug 27 : A total of 2179 new Covid cases were reported in the state on Wednesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 96,771.
Among the new cases reported on Wednesday, 531 were from Kamrup Metro , 122 from Kamrup Rural , 152 from Dibrugarh , 136 from Cachar and 134 from Jorhat.

A total of 2148 patients were discharged on Wednesday after recovery .
