Shillong(Meghalaya), April 10: In a heartwarming push for inclusivity, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma rallied behind Meghalaya’s 2 lakh illiterate citizens, urging everyone to join the ULLAS mission for 100% literacy. “If we don’t touch their lives, our mission’s incomplete,” he said, honouring adult learners and achievers at ULLAS Fest 2026.
The ULLAS scheme empowers adults with reading, writing, life skills, and vocational training through volunteer-driven hybrid learning.
With literacy rates soaring, the state aims to hit 100% – will it be the Northeast’s education gamechanger?
