Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 26: The Meghalaya Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee has announced its first list of 14 candidates for the upcoming Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) election 2026, scheduled for April 10.

The candidates include Changseng R. Marak from Silkigre, Witerson M. Sangma from Babelapara, and Dimseng K. Marak from Tura. The list reflects the party’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the region.
The GHADC election is crucial for the Trinamool Congress, which is looking to expand its influence in Meghalaya’s local politics.
