Shillong ( Meghalaya), Aug 5 : Scam- tainted Meghalaya Police Officer and Commandant of Special Force , SF -10, GK Ingrai who was arrested on Nov 2 on charges on misusing funds was today remanded to 7 -day police custody after his release from Civil Hospital , here .
Despite objection from his legal counsel, the court gave seven -day police custody and he will again be produced on Nov 12 .The Court also directed the Investigating Officer ( IO) to ensure safety as far as his health his concerned and directed police to produce him for medical check up every 48 hours .
His counsel is likely to move bail petition on Nov 14 next .
Meanwhile , Home Ministe Lahkmen Rymbui on Saturday informed that Iangrai has been suspended from service after his arrest on charges of misusing funds for construction of NERS PSAP building at Sadar police station here.
