Shillong turns white, receives first snow fall

Shillong ( Meghalaya), Dec 22 : On Wednesday , Shillong witnessed snow & rain and the weather felt like as if it had fallen below 0% centigrade .

Initially, it was hail stones but as the weather deteriorated and  snowflakes started falling along with rain drops.

Streets of Shillong and of it’s outskirt were covered with a thick sheet of snow. Temperature dropped to 6 degrees celsius.
