Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 8: The Catholic Association of Shillong today called on the Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, at Raj Bhavan, here and handed over a Memorandum addressed to the President of India, requesting immediate intervention to restore peace and harmony to the State of Manipur.
The delegation was led by J, A Lyngdoh, President, Ronnie V Lyngdoh, Vice President; Smti Kiltiora Marbaniang, Vice President, Richard Kahit, Vice President, Barnabas Nongbah, General Secretary and representatives from the youth and women folk.
The Memorandum was adopted at the Peace Rally organized by the Catholic Association of Shillong in collaboration with the Meghalaya Church Leaders Forum (MCLF) and the Khasi and Jaintia Christian Leaders Forum (KJCLF) on Aug 5.
