Shillong(Meghalaya), Jan 24: Rangdajied United FC (RUFC) handed Nongrim Hills SC a crushing 6-0 defeat in the OC Blue Shillong Premier League 2024 at the SSA Stadium, Polo. The victory marked a dominant display by RUFC, who had also won the reverse fixture 1-0 on November 8.
The match saw RUFC score twice within the first ten minutes, courtesy of Owanijuh Pajuh (6′) and Arlangky Nongsiej (9′). The team continued to pile on the pressure, with Dibormi Kassar (26′) and Owanijuh (34′) adding two more goals before halftime.
In the second half, RUFC’s Freddy B Jyrwa (68′) tapped in a cross from Aenam Jyrwa, before Manbhakupar Iawphniaw (77′) sealed the victory with a stunning solo effort, running from his own half into the Nongrim Hills box to score.
Earlier in the day, Nangkiew Irat SC and Langsning FC played out a 1-1 draw. Rhitso Mero (25′) scored on his debut for Langsning, but Nangkiew Irat SC equalized to share the points.
