Shillong ( Meghalaya),May 25 : 19 more Covid -19 deaths were reported in the state in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 502.
So far , 409 deaths have been reported from East Khasi Hills District only .
According to an official statement , 14 deaths were reported from East Khasi Hills District , 2 from West Jaintia Hills and 1 each from South Garo Hills and East Jaintia Hills .

On Tuesday, 957 new cases were detected which included 375 from East Khasi Hills and 194 from Ri Bhoi .
755 patients were also released on Tuesday from various hospitals after recovery .
The active cases in the state now stands at 7972 .
