Tura(Meghalaya), June 22: West Garo Hills (WGH) superintendent of police, Vivekanand S Rathore has warned against any form of extortion being carried out in the town of Tura.
The warning comes after reports of some miscreants illegally extorting money from shopkeepers and poor vegetable vendors in the market areas.

In a social media post from the office of the SP, Rathore has asked anyone who is a victim or witnesses such acts to inform the nearest OC/IC or the SP himself at the number mentioned 7005225721. The SP also asked residents to take videos or make recordings of such incidents and forward the same.
“I will personally monitor these incidents and ensure such miscreants receive the strictest punishment as per law,” stated the SP.
