Tura (Meghalaya ), Oct 22 : East Garo Hills police today recovered huge cache of Arms Ammunition from Nengmadalgre jungles.
Acting on a tip off East Garo Hills Police today launch a search operation in and around Nengmandalgre jungle beyond Simsang river and recovered 85 rounds of 7.71 mm ammunition of Sniper Rifle.
Meanwhile ,the seized ammunitions have been brought to Williamnagar police station for verification.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on .
The search operation is still on to recover more weapons.
According to East Garo hills police the hidden armaments were buried by late Sohan D Shira self styled commander- in – chief of the Garo Hills based militant outfit Garo National Liberation Army who was killed in an encounter with police in the recent past.
