Shillong ( Meghalaya), June 8 : The state government has announced reduction of tuition fees of all government aided, deficit pattern and deficit schools for the month of April, May and June by 50 percent.
The government has also appealed to private schools not to collect any other fees except for tuition fees.

After a high-level meeting Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said that all private schools will not collect any other fees except tuition fees from the students for the month of April, May and June.
He added that the fees which have already been paid will be adjusted and that the Education department will be issuing a notification in this regard .
