Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 10 : One more patient succumbed to his infections taking the death toll due to Covid in state to 123 .
Purna Ram Das aged 68 years from Dalu was detected Covid-positive on Dec 1. He was suffering from stroke-related paralysis since 2014 as well as hypertension and passed away on Wednesday afternoon at his residence .
Meanwhile , 75 new cases were detected in the state today taking the state tally to 12,586 .

Among the new cases 57 were from East Khasi Hills, 5 from West Jaintia Hills , 3 each from West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills, 2 each from East Garo Hills and South West Khasi Hills ,and 1 each from Ri Bhoi , South West Garo Hills and West Garo Hills .
A total of 28 patients were declared recovered today .
