Shillong (Meghalaya) , Oct 21 : One more critically ill Covid patient succumbed to his infections today taking the death toll due to Covid in the state to 77.
According to official sources , the patient has been identified as Wester Mawrie aged 57 years from Mawlynrei.

He was admitted to Shillong Civil Hospital on Oct 19 and passed away early this morning. He had Type 1 respiratory failure due to Covid-19 pneumonia with cancer.
Meanwhile , 28 new cases out which 12 from East Khasi Hills were detected today and a total of 177 patients were declared recovered .
