Shillong ( Meghalaya ), July 16 : In yet another major drug bust. East Jaintia Hills District Police today , 16/07/2023, Police arrested two interstate drug traffickers at Nongsning village under Khliehriat PS and seized Heroin worth ₹1.6 Crores.
Police apprehended two female inter-state traffickers and seized heroin worth Rs 1.6 crore .

DSP Jason Mairom led the operation after receiving a tip-off that two women were en route from Silchar to Shillong in a Tata Sumo tourist vehicle.
The arrested has been identified as 35-year-old Hoihoi Hanhal and 40-year-old Lhing Hohoi, both hailing from Imphal West in Mizoram and were apprehended from a Tata Sumo.
