Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 7: Langsning FC powered to a convincing 5-0 victory over Nangkiew Irat SC in the Shillong Premier League 2025 match held at the SSA Stadium. Wanshwadame Diengdoh scored a brace, netting goals in the 40th and 52nd minutes, while Manbhalang Nongmin and Donlad Diengdoh added to the scoreline with goals in the 84th and 90th and 90th+1 minutes, respectively.
This win propelled Langsning FC to third position in the standings with 14 points, displacing Nangkiew Irat SC, who now sit in fourth place with 13 points. Nangkiew Irat SC had been chasing a victory that would have given them the lead in the standings, above Shillong Lajong and Mawlai, who both have 15 points. However, despite a intense first half, Nangkiew Irat SC’s spirits flagged in the second half, and they were completely outplayed.
The match saw a high level of intensity, with referee Pynskhemhame Mawthoh flashing five yellow cards in the first half alone. Nangkiew Irat SC had a couple of look-ins in the first half, with Khangmiki Pale and Himanshu Patil testing Langsning FC goalkeeper Rajat Paul Lyngdoh, but to no avail. Other noteworthy performances from Langsning FC included defender Lukas Syngkli, who kept busy in the first 70 minutes but was up to the mark throughout.
