Shillong ( Meghalaya), June 13 : An elderly couple from Shillong died on the spot in a tragic road accident on Monday evening while returning in a car from Siliguri .
The elderly couple’s son who was driving the car was also critically injured and is battling for life in a hospital.
The accident occurred around 4pm on Monday at Kamalpur just before reaching Rangiya in Assam.

The car bearing registration no 0D 02 B 7631 was completely damaged in the front portion.
The last rites will be performed in Shillong today.
