Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 26 : The Central Puja Committee (CPC), Meghalaya, has strongly condemned the shocking incident of vandalism at a church in Mawlyynong, East Khasi Hills, where an individual, identified as Akash Sagar, was seen deliberately outraging and violating the religious sanctity of the church.
We urge the district administration to take immediate action, investigate the matter thoroughly, and initiate stringent exemplary action against the offender. Meghalaya has always been a beacon of religious harmony, and such irresponsible acts must not be allowed to disrupt the age-old brotherhood among people of different faiths.
Let us stand together to protect our state’s rich cultural heritage and uphold the values of mutual respect and tolerance.
