Covid 19 Surge : 192 fresh cases recorded in Meghalaya, 3 more deaths

Shillong(Meghalaya), April 21: The Covid surge in the state continues with 192 fresh cases  detected today .

3 more critically ill patients succumbed to their infections at various hospitals in the state .

Among the new cases today , 148 cases were detected in East Khasi Hills , 30 from Ri Bhoi District , 4 each from East Jaintia Hills and West Garo Hills , 3 each from West Jantia Hills and West Khasi Hills .

The state also registered 25 recovered cases taking the total number to 14130 with a recovery rate of 92.30 percent.

Then state tally now stands at 15,305 with 1021 active cases after 14, 130 patients recovered from the virus . The death toll so far due to Covid stands at 157 .
