Imphal(Manipur), May 29 :Manipur on Saturday reported a new grim record of 1,007 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The active caseload has now reached 8,030 according to the Health Department.

The positive cases are from Imphal East (237), Imphal West (358), Thoubal(98), Bishnupur (63), Kakching (63), Ukhrul (9),Churachandpur (91), Chandel (4),Senapati (8), Tamenglong (37), Tengnoupal (6), Kangpokpi (3), Jiribam (4), Kamjong (10), Noney (3) and Pherzawl(12).
In the last 24 hours, 15 persons died, taking the death toll to 776.
The caseload now stands at 48,850. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 40,044 and the recovery rate is 81.97%.
