Shillong (Meghalaya ), Mar 19 : Meghalaya govt has imposed restrictions in movement of public transport and to close all shops, markets and establishments w.e.f midnight of 20th March, 2020 to midnight of 21st March, 2020 throughout the State.
This has been done with a view to enforce the advisories and restrictions for containment of #COVID19 and to carry out intensive awareness programmes on preventive measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
Meanwhile ,an office memorandum issued by Meghalaya Chief Secretary MS Rao on preventive measures to contain COVID-19 says ,50 percent of Group B (Pay Level 11 to 14) and Group C (Pay Level 2 to 10) employees to work from home.
The Weekly work rosters to be drawn for Group B and C staff who will attend office on alternate weeks. There would Separate work timings for three groups of employees
However , essential and emergency services, like Health & Family Welfare, Home (Police), Political, Finance, Planning and Information and Public Relations departments be exempted .(CMO)
