Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 27: In a scathing rebuke, Jaiñtia National Council (JNC) President Sambormi Lyngdoh condemned BJP member Sunil Deodhar’s speech targeting Christianity, emphasizing that the faith is a spiritual connection to Christ, not a threat to India’s unity.
Lyngdoh urged respect for all religions, citing shared laws and constitution, and warned against forced conversions, saying it contradicts Jesus’ teachings. He addressed Hindu organizations, saying persecuting Christians means opposing God.
